Learn more about Dan Fox

After graduating year 12, Dan began his banking and finance career at Westpac Banking Corporation in Brisbane in 1988. He worked for the bank for seven years, excelling in his career and working his way up to management.

While working for Westpac, Dan also began (and later completed) his Bachelor's in Business, with a major in Banking and Finance.

The frustration of only being able to assist prime borrowers was really the catalyst for Dan leaving Westpac and starting a career with Avco Finance and Insurance. This business, helping sub prime borrowers later became known as Ge Money and is now known as Lattitude Financial Services. The 10 years that Dan had in this business was a great learning and led to the passion of wanting to help even more clients.

Fox Finance Group was born in 2006, enabling Dan and his small team to help both prime and sub prime clients. This became more challenging in 2008 when the Global Financial Crisis hit Australia. To further support the growth of Fox Finance Group, Dan founded the Ume Loans business in 2009 (www.umeloans.com.au) . Holding it's own separate credit licence Ume loans is a boutique finance company that specialises in giving good people who may not fit the banks normal lending criteria a second chance.

Dan and his family have been living on the Sunshine Coast for the past decade. The Sunshine Coast is where Dan grew up as a child. In fact, Caloundra is where his father's family business, Fox & Fox Solicitors (now known as Fox Mildwaters Solicitors) was based, and is still in the main street of Caloundra today.

Dan has three boys he loves spending time with, Kadan, Jaxon and Kobi. Dan's hobbies include property investing and riding jet skis. Dan has an extensive history racing jet skis. He has countless regional and state titles as well as three Australian titles, and in 2010 competed in the world jet ski titles in Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA where he finished 8th in the world in his class.
